It looks like ESPN was with everyone else in the country outside of Columbus that thought Ohio State couldn’t beat Alabama.

More from College Football

The Ohio State Buckeyes went into the Sugar Bowl this past Thursday and they pulled off one of the stunners of the college football season, knocking off the No. 1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide to punch their ticket to the national championship game next Monday, where they will take on the Oregon Ducks.

Now heading into the game, there were very few people that expected Ohio State to walk out with the win. There was no way that a team from the Big Ten were going to walk into Louisiana and knock off the SEC Champions. But, to the surprise of most, that is exactly what happened.

Apparently, the folks at ESPN were surprised as well. How do we know this? Well, apparently when they submitted their programming to DirecTV, they were certain that they would be able to chronicle the journey of the Crimson Tide.

Well, now, that’s going to do very little of cooling the talks surrounding an SEC bias.
