The Bills, 49ers, and Raiders would like to bring in both Mike and Kyle Shanahan as a package deal.

The Cleveland Browns have been receiving inquiries lately from teams interested in hiring offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan for their head coach opening. However, some teams are interested in bringing Shanahan on as part of a package deal with his father, the former Super Bowl winning head coach Mike Shanahan.

According to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, at least three teams are interested in the package deal. The Bills and 49ers have asked to interview Kyle for their coaching vacancy. The Browns can deny permission for these teams to interview the younger Shanahan for an assistants position, but these teams can skirt the rules by interviewing him under the guise of a head coaching position.

Still, Kyle can’t join his father’s staff without being let out of his contract by the Browns. Kyle, was a big part of the Browns’ success offensively this season and a season when some of their players a good chunk of the year. Cleveland would like to keep him on their staff as the team grows under head coach Mike Pettine.

The Buffalo Bills have been searching for a head coach after former coach Doug Marrone executed the out clause in his contract after new ownership took over the franchise in Buffalo. The Bills have been linked to former Bills quarterback and Buffalo hero, Frank Reich. The Bills posted their first winning season at 9-7 since 2004 and are looking to build upon their new found success.

The 49ers are in the market for a new head coach after Jim Harbaugh left to become the highest paid coach in college football at Michigan. The 49ers face many changes in the offseason with impending free agents and are looking for somebody who can help develop franchise signal-caller Colin Kaepernick.

The Oakland Raiders, once again in the market for a head coach after another abysmal season, are looking for someone to lead their franchise out of the cellar they have been in for over a decade. They have a promising young quarterback in Derek Carr and a stud outside linebacker in Khalil Mack who might win Defensive Rookie of the Year honors.

Wherever the Shanahans end up, they are going to have their fair share of options available to them. Whether they can pair up together and get the Browns to release Kyle out of his contract, is another story.
