We’ll know soon enough whether or not Jameis Winston will be entering the NFL Draft, it just won’t be this week.

Football fans all over are waiting to see whether or not Florida State Seminoles quarterback Jameis Winston will be returning to Tallahassee for his junior season or putting his name into the 2015 NFL Draft pool, where he is expected to be the second quarterback taken after Marcus Mariota.

Well we’re going to have to wait at least a week to know anything for sure.

According to his father, Jameis will not be making a final decision until after the Oregon Ducks and Ohio State Buckeyes cap off the college football season in the national championship game next Monday night.

Last Thursday in the Rose Bowl as part of the College Football Playoff the Seminoles were knocked off by the Ducks, with Winston suffering the first loss of his career as a starter in college football. It was a harsh way to go out, but it also gives Winston some reasoning to come back and try to win another title, as foolish as some people may think that is.

On the other hand, however, with the possibility of being a high pick, Winston would be leaving a lot of money on the table and would be returning to college, where he’s open to the possibility of suffering a severe injury before he can even get an NFL career off the ground.

Whatever the case may be, we’ll definitively know next week if we’re going to be treated to a media firestorm over Winston heading off to the NFL, or making a shocking decision to return to Tallahassee.
