It appears, that the 6-foot-4, 340-pound prospect has more athleticism than even Tennessee could have possibly imagined.
In an Instagram video, McKenzie showed off his athleticism by getting air and dunking a basketball. The potentially soon-to-be Volunteer has no probably getting air and slams the basketball down one-handed with ease.
McKenzie, the Concord, Ca. product who ran the 40-yard dash in 5.02 seconds, shows he has a little more get off than expected. The No. 9 national prospect overall will be bringing an interior presence along with some lift to a Volunteers’ interior line.
According to rivals.com, Tennessee is currently ranked sixth in recruiting.
If the big man can keep flashing moves like this on the field, Tennessee fans can be excited about the prospects of a young, dynamic player competing for their program for the next four years.
With the growing trend of basketball players making the transition over to football, maybe he can get some practice time with the basketball team and continue to improve on his overall skill set that he can bring with him to the gridiron.
McKenzie is a special talent with special skills, and he will be wreaking havoc in the backfield of opposing offenses for many years to come.
