Amazon seems to know something about Ohio State that we don’t already.Ā

Ohio State and Oregon face off on Monday for the right to lift the inaugural College Football Playoff trophy. Well, it appears Amazon has gotten ahead of themselves and started to sell Ohio State national championship shirts.

Amazon’s description of the long-sleeve shirt perfectly describes what could happen if Ohio State were to win.

ā€œShow your support for the Ohio State Buckeyes football team with a 2015 Ohio State University National Champions shirt! With a huge victory over an outstanding Oregon Ducks team OSU Football has made its place in history by winning the first ever College Football Playoff National Championship game! Commemorate this event with the 2015 Ohio state Buckeyes National Champs shirt. The soft material and unique school graphics make this a great addition to any OSU apparel collection.ā€

It won’t be the easiest game for the Buckeyes by any means. Monday’s CFP Championship should be an offensive shootout between two talented quarterbacks. Yet, Ohio State pulled off an upset defeating Nick Saban’s Alabama team, and they aren’t backing down to the Ducks. They are hungry to shock the world again and show just how elite Urban Meyer is as a coach. It would be his third National Championship and he’d join an exclusive list of coaches who have won a college football title at two separate schools.

Amazon appears to want to make money off the Buckeyes hype ahead of the final. However, this is just a poor move on their part and its strange they don’t have an Oregon version. It’s possible they think Ohio State fans are more confident and will buy these shirts ahead of time; then if they don’t win, those fans will have kindling for their fires so they can stay warm during the cold Ohio winter.

At the same time, Amazon could be preparing multiple National Championship-related available merchandise links and could have prematurely put the link live. However, the site might have some inside information or have some reason to believe Ohio State will win.

For now, Ohio State fans can be happy Amazon thinks their team will win, while Oregon fans wonder why Amazon does not think the Ducks will come away victorious when the clock hits zero. No matter what Amazon does, the National Championship game should be an instant classic between two of the top college football programs in the nation.
