Urban Meyer is still telling the media that Braxton Miller will be in Columbus next season.

Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer met with the media for the final time on Sunday before his team takes on the Oregon Ducks for the College Football Playoff National Championship Monday. Of course, though, one of the questions was about a player who won’t even see the field on Monday night, quarterback Braxton Miller.

Meyer was once again asked whether or not he believes Miller will return to Columbus in 2015 for his final year of eligibility, and once again, Meyer said he expects his former Heisman candidate to be back with him and the team come September.

“I do expect Braxton to return,” Meyer said via NFL.com.

Despite all that has happened with the quarterback position for the Big Ten champions this season, this has been the consistent answer from Meyer all year, even if we all know that it’s probably not going to happen.

Recent reports have Miller either heading to play for the LSU Tigers or Florida State Seminoles, both of whom need some help under center immediately. LSU has needed a solid quarterback for the past few seasons, and Florida State needs someone to step in and fill the void left with the departure of Jameis Winston to the NFL.

But don’t ask Urban Meyer which of those destinations Braxton Miller will lad at next season, because he’s going to tell you it’ll be Columbus, Ohio.
