Ohio State‘s Jalin Marshall made a crazy catch as the Buckeyes were driving down the field.
After going down 7-0 quickly to the Oregon Ducks, the Buckeyes found their own touchdown thanks to a ridiculous grab by Jalin Marshall.
As you can see in the vine, Marshall didn’t have much space to make the catch. He was closely covered by the Oregon defender, but found a way to bring home the one-handed grab. He benefited by the close proximity of the defender by shortly and quickly pushing the ball into his back and then pulling the ball into his hand before hitting the ground.

Dez Bryant could learn from Marshall’s receiving skill. He made sure to make the catch and completion instead of greedily looking for more yards, and in Bryant’s case the end zone. Thanks to Marshall’s skills so far this game, Ohio State was kept in the game and then took the momentum into their favor.
For now, Marshall’s catch is one of the best of the National Championship game, while the Oregon counterparts keep dropping critical balls thrown in their direction. His balance and composure allowed him to get slightly open for the big gain. It appears making the difficult and not so difficult catches will be the difference in who lifts. the inaugural College Football Playoff trophy.
