A tiger and giraffe at the Columbus Zoo are rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes in college football‘s national championship game

Apparently, humans aren’t the only ones with a vested interest in the outcome of the college football national championship game between the Ohio State Buckeyes and Oregon Ducks.

The animal kingdom has, reportedly, joined the party, according to Bleacher Report. A tiger at the Columbus Zoo is rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes to beat the Oregon Ducks on Monday night.

The Columbus Zoo posted this picture on twitter early this morning with the Tiger acting as the “H” in “Ohio.”

Shortly after, a giraffe from the same zoo couldn’t be outdone by the tiger and wanted to get in on the action and posed as the “I” in “OHIO.”

So, which team actually has the support of the animal kingdom in the national championship game?

It appears no animals have voiced their support for the Ducks on Twitter, which leads me to believe the entire animal kingdom might be rooting for the Buckeyes and I also think I know why.

Animals eat nuts; Nuts nourish the animals; therefore, animals are fans of nuts.

That is some fool-proof logic right there.

I do have one qualm with the Columbus Zoo saying those animals are rooting for the Buckeyes. It’s the same reason I tell people I like the Seattle Seahawks. When you live close to these people, you cannot escape their wrath. It’s not like the tiger and giraffe can just walk to Oregon and join one of their zoos. Those animals are stuck in Columbus, Ohio, probably, for the rest of their lives.

While animals are fans of the foods they eat, I also know animals are fans of other animals, which is why I think the Oregon Ducks actually have the animal kingdom on their side.
