Jalen Ramsey is recruiting Braxton Miller to FSU
By Evan Massey
Florida State Seminoles starting defensive back Jalen Ramsey is trying to recruit Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Braxton Miller.
Jalen Ramsey is a starting defensive back for the Florida State Seminoles, and he took to Twitter recently in an attempt to recruit the next Florida State quarterback. Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Braxton Miller’s status is in doubt with both J.T. Barrett and Cardale Jones stepping up this past season, and it appears that a transfer could be a likely option for Miller.

Throughout Miller’s three seasons at Ohio State, he has racked up 5,292 yards, 52 touchdowns, and 17 interceptions.

Florida State is losing quarterback Jameis Winston to the NFL, and Miller would fill his shoes perfectly. He has already earned his undergraduate degree from Ohio State, which would make him immediately eligible to play next season if he did decide to transfer.
It will be very interesting to see what ends up happening with Miller, and whether or not he ends up with Florida State. They would offer him the best chance to win a National Championship in his senior year, and would also give him the most national media attention. Taking over for Winston would put him under a lot of scrutiny as well, but he has already had that at Ohio State.
Miller’s ability to make plays with both his arm and legs would be an upgrade over Winston this past season. Winston had a very good arm, but he was inconsistent at times and wasn’t able to move the chains with his legs all that much.
To give an idea of how much of an upgrade Miller would be as far as rushing the football, he has picked up 3,054 yards and 32 touchdowns on the ground while Winston has just 284 yards and seven touchdowns.
The Seminoles already had a very dangerous offense this past season, but adding a quarterback with the playmaking ability that Miller has could be lethal. Florida State is without a doubt the best fit and opportunity for Miller if he chooses to transfer, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him there next year.
We know Jalen Ramsey agrees with that sentiment.
