3. San Francisco 49ers

Jim Harbaugh and the San Francisco 49ers parted ways earlier this season, and John Fox would be a very nice fit with the team that they have put together. He isn’t necessarily a candidate that would fit San Francisco’s wishlist as far as the age of their next coach, but he might be exactly what they need to get them over the top.

San Francisco was expected to be a contender in the NFC this season, but they ended up having a complete nightmare of a year.

Whether that was because of the coaching, the injuries, or another factor, things never turned around. Fox would have a very talented offense to work with, starring Colin Kaepernick, and the defense will be much healthier to start next season. There are still some holes to be filled, but Fox would bring the new voice and experience that the 49ers need.

Fox may not end up getting the job in San Francisco, but they are certainly a good fit for him. It will be interesting to see whether or not the 49ers end up bringing him in for an interview in the near future.
