When Cardale Jones was teetering not he brink of declaring for the NFL Draft or returning to Ohio State, there was one man who was in the middle of it all that we never considered before today. Tights Powell is Cardele Jones’ roommate at Ohio State and was suddenly under the realization that his other half of the rent check was about to declare for the NFL.
Perhaps the happiest man about the decision for Cardale to return to Ohio State wasn’t a fan, rather it was his roommate who has happy he knew where rent was going to keep coming from.
The rent is SAFE!!!!

Before the announcement — which was broadcast by ESPN, to give you an idea of how massive it was — Jones’ roommate seemed to be fretting about whether or not rent would be paid if Jones had left for the NFL.
12 could've let me know what the decision was. I'm his father and his roommate for Christ sake. You think you know a guy....

Powell quickly changed his tune to not caring if Jones returned or not, stating that leave or stay the rent next month was due when it’s normally due.
Whether 12 go or stay, Rent is still due on the 1st and I'm gone have my half!

That’s the way to be a landlord, you have to demand your half whether your roommate wants to declare for the NFL Draft or not. Rooomates moving out unexpectedly is a national crisis that we need to bring more awareness to and thankfully Powell didn’t have to deal with that.
However, if Jones had declared for the NFL, Powell could have angled to get a slice of his contract to pay out the rest of rent since one of them could afford to do so without breaking the bank. So maybe it would have been better if Jones had declared for the draft — but it’s a nicer ending this way.
