The Indianapolis Colts are preparing for the AFC Championship Game on Sunday and don’t have time for distractions like their website, so they just decided to shut it down.

In case you didn’t know, there happens to be a pretty important game involving the Colts on Sunday and the team needs to be 100 percent dedicated and focused on the task at hand, so they don’t need to worry about superfluous things like managing a website.

So what did the Colts do?

They instituted a “blue out” so their fans can get their mind right for Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots with a berth in the Super Bowl on the line.

If you visit Colts.com now you’ll see a short video with players, T.Y. Hilton, Boom Herron, Jack Mewhort and Adam Vinatieri offering up some motivational lines in advance of Sunday’s game against a team that’s played in the AFC Championship Game for four straight years.

The Colts have all their daily news on Colts mobile and direct you ways you can download their app, but how cool of a message is this by the Colts?!

It’s just a symbolic gesture but it is one that makes the fans feel a part of the championship pursuit and that’s pretty neat for the fans who have been with the team every step of the way.

Quarterback Andrew Luck led the team to the playoffs in each of his first three seasons and is one win away from his first career Super Bowl in what could be multiple trips to the ‘Big Game’ as he attempts to fill the considerable shoes of his predecessor, Peyton Manning.

It was Manning who stood in the way of the Colts last weekend as he played his former team in the postseason after a pair of regular season meetings since he left Indianapolis, but the proverbial torch was passed with Manning struggling in the loss while Luck tossed dimes all over the field in the win.

Now Luck will try to knock off Tom Brady as he plays another future Hall of Famer and prevent him from reaching a sixth Super Bowl and keep him one ring shy of Terry Bradshaw and Joe Montana with four Super Bowl rings.

Will the Colts get the better of the Pats on Sunday?

If they do, you can be sure there will be news all over their website.
