There are eight games in the NBA tonight, but not many elite options to be had. There are also a lot of tough matchups as well.

Here are my FanDuel lineups for January 17th:

Point Guards:

Bargains:

Mo Williams, Timberwolves ($6,200): Williams only had 26 points last night, which was half as much as his career high. What to take away from this is that Williams is taking the lion’s share of the minutes until Ricky Rubio gets back. He has been a super value at PG lately. The Timberwolves are staying competitive with the backcourt duo of Williams and Andrew Wiggins. Expect that to continue, and Williams to keep producing at a high level. At least until Rubio comes back.

Jarrett Jack, Nets ($6,300): Jack lit up the Wizards last night. Can he do it again? I doubt he gets close to the 47.7 fantasy points that he put up last night, but there is a great chance that he gets about 30, which is a great value.

Worth The Cost:

Stephen Curry, Warriors ($10,500): Curry had a down night against the Thunder last night, but I would expect him to bounce back in a big way against the Rockets tonight. I can definitely see Curry getting back to well over 40 fantasy points.

Ty Lawson, Nuggets ($9,100): Lawson gets the Timberwolves tonight, which makes him a really solid play. The Nuggets are still farther along in the rebuilding process than the Timberwolves are, so this could turn into a lopsided game. That said, the Timberwolves are playing fairly well right now. They might manage to keep it close.

Risky Play:

Brian Roberts, Hornets ($3,500): Kemba Walker is out again tonight, which makes Roberts an intriguing option. He has done pretty well when he gets enough minutes to make a difference, so he could be the best bargain of the night. When you add in the fact that he isĀ  playing the Pacers, it makes his an even better play

My Lineups:

A: Williams and Brandon Jennings ($14,100): Jennings has been outstanding lately, and I really like his matchup against the 76ers tonight.

B: Jack and Roberts ($9,800)

Next: Not A Lot Of Options At SG Again

Shooting Guards:

Bargains:

Tony Allen, Grizzlies ($4,700): Allen has played well lately. He has averaged 25 fantasy points per game in each of his last four games. If you can get 25 points out of Allen for his price, that is a big boost to your team.

Arron Afflalo, Nuggets ($5,700): Afflalo has been playing over 35 minutes a game, and he has produced at least 22 fantasy points in his last eight games. His price is still not out of the range where he poses a risk, so he should be a great asset.

Worth The Cost:

Jimmy Butler, Bulls ($8,700): Butler had a huge game against the Celtics, but that is the Celtics, after all. He will face a tougher defense tonight against the Hawks. Temper your expectations, but he could still score in the 30’s fantasy wise. I honestly trust Butler more than James Harden against the Warriors. I may be wrong, but if I am, Butler is much cheaper.

Klay Thompson, Warriors ($7,600): Thompson had a good game against the Thunder last night. He has a good chance to parlay that into a huge game against James Harden and the Rockets. I would not be surprised if Thompson outscored all of the other shooting guards tonight.

Risky Play:

Rodney Stuckey, Pacers ($5,200): Stuckey has been starting lately, and producing fairly well. Still, I view anyone in the Pacers backcourt as a risk right now considering there are so many people who play in it.

My Lineups:

A: Thompson and Butler ($16,300)

B: Butler and Afflalo ($14,400)

Next: No Top Options At SF Tonight

Small Forwards:

Bargains:

Bojan Bogdanovic, Nets ($3,800): Bogdanovic has averaged 21 fantasy points a game since be reinstated to the starting lineup. Those are not great numbers by any means, but it also means that you are getting good consistency for near rock bottom price. It’s a good place to start your team.

Trevor Ariza, Rockets ($5,700): Ariza has been possibly the most consistent force on the Rockets this season, at least for fantasy purposes. This is especially important for FanDuel lineups. Eight straight games of over 20 fantasy points is good to come byĀ at the price.

Worth The Cost:

Andrew Wiggins, Timberwolves ($7,300): Wiggins put up 35.4 fantasy points against the Nuggets the last time he faced them on January 5th. It is a distinct possibility that Wiggins could do that again. The track record is there, and Wiggins has proven his worth over the last month. There is no reason to think it won’t happen again.

Robert Covington, 76ers ($5,700): Covington had a very good game against the Pelicans last night. He will find the going a bit tougher against the Pistons, but I still see him having a solid game. The problem may be that you could be disappointed by Covington not outscoring Bogdanovic by much.

Risky Play:

Gerald Henderson, Hornets ($5,400): Henderson will start tonight against the Pacers. That alone makes him a good play. However, be aware that since he is battling an illness that he may not be able to play his usual compliment of minutes.

My Lineups:

A: Ariza and Bogdanovic ($9,500)

B: Wiggins and Bogdanovic ($11,100)

Power Forwards:

Bargains:

Kenneth Faried, Nuggets ($6,800): His minutes routinely fluctuate, but you simply cannot deny Faried’s raw talent. All we have to do is hope that he gets the lion’s share of the minutes in this one. He did not the last time these two teams met.

J.J. Hickson, Nuggets ($4,500): It was Hickson who played more minutes than Faried in that one, and he put up a huge game fantasy wise. Especially for this price. The difference was that Mozgov was in the lineup for Denver in that January 5th meeting. There is a good chance that Faried and Hickson both play about the same amount of minutes with Hickson manning center.

Worth The Cost:

Greg Monroe, Pistons ($8,300): Monroe has seven straight games of more than 30 fantasy points, and nine straight of 25 or more. He just keeps putting up good numbers with Josh Smith gone. There is no reason to doubt Monroe, especially against the Pacers.

Blake Griffin, Clippers ($9,800): Griffin has been a monster against mediocre frontcourts. The Hawks are not mediocre. Still, Griffin has been able to produce against good teams. He had 42 fantasy points against this same Atlanta team on January 5th. A repeat performance is a distinct possibility.

Risky Play:

Josh Smith, Rockets ($6,000): Smith is a risk so long as he is coming off of the bench instead of starting. If he starts slow, he won’t have the minutes to make up for it later. He has done well off of the bench so far, but that could change.

My Lineups:

A: Monroe and Hickson ($12,800)

B: Griffin and Faried ($16,600)

Next: Can You Trust DeMarcus Cousins?

Jan 1, 2015; Minneapolis, MN, USA; Minnesota Timberwolves center Gorgui Dieng (5) dunks in the second quarter against the Sacramento Kings at Target Center. Mandatory Credit: Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

Center:

Bargain:

Bismack Biyombo, Hornets ($5,000): Biyombo has put up to very good games in a row against the Knicks and the Spurs. He has a good chance for another against the Pacers tonight. Still, I would only recommend him on a matchup basis.

Worth The Cost:

Gorgui Dieng, Timberwolves ($7,200): Dieng dominated against the Nuggets in their last meeting. He posted arguably the best fantasy performance of his career in that one. I would not bet on him throwing in 22 points again, but even so, Dieng is still a great bet for a double-double.

Risky Play:

Andre Drummond, Pistons ($8,000): Drummond is a good play against teams that have a weaker frontcourt. That is the case tonight against the 76ers. Just be aware that Drummond is still inconsistent and gets in foul trouble.

My Lineups:

A: Dieng ($7,200)

B: Drummond ($8,000)
