With reports of Andre Schurrle, linked with Wolfsburg, and Mohamed Salah linked with Roma, potentially leaving the club, any future move for Cuadrado in the January window is dependent on a Chelsea departure first.

Jose Mourinho also added fuel to the rumours when he refused to rule out any new additions.

“I will be happy if nobody leaves or comes this month but the market is open and you never know,” Mourinho said. “I do not want to lie to you.”

Italian papers also seem to think Chelsea will make an impending offer soon. The Colombian would definitely be an upgrade on Salah or Schurrle as he offers explosiveness and a bit of unpredictability on the right wing with his trickery and pace.

Whether he has the defensive qualities and ability to track back to Mourinho’s liking is another question as if he were to sign, he’d all but certainly be fighting with Willian for a starting spot.

Do you think Cuadrado would be a good signing for the Blues? Let us know in the comments!
