The league’s sack leader Justin Houston wasn’t happy with where he was drafted in the annual Pro Bowl draft

Justin Houston was the most dominant outside linebacker in the NFL this year. Houston had 22 sacks for the Kansas City Chiefs. For his incredible year he was selected to play with the best of the NFL in the annual Pro Bowl. With Michael Irvin and Cris Carter as this year’s honorary captains, they selected their respective teams. However, neither of them picked the sack champion for several rounds.

Houston, wasn’t too happy with having to wait either. Seeing guys go before him that didn’t have the season he did probably didn’t sit too well with the third-year product out of Georgia.

He took to Twitter to let it be known that he wasn’t happy with where he was selected.

Houston has a point. He did lead the NFL in sacks and he probably deserves a little more respect from the guys picking teams. However, it’s the Pro Bowl and it’s probably a popularity contest among Irvin and Carter picking their buddies.

At the end of the day, Houston was picked up by Carter’s team and will probably be extra motivated to get the winners bonus and lead team Carter to victory.

Or maybe, like most players in the Pro Bowl, he will dial it back a bit and just be happy to be out there. The Pro Bowl takes place Sunday in Glendale, AZ for the first time instead of being held in its annual spot in Hawaii.
