ESPN personality Sal Paolantonio ripped Tom Brady for his press conference and denial, claiming he only did it to preserve his reputation and sell women Ugg boots.

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady both held press conferences on Thursday to discuss the deflate gate issue. Belichick seemingly pointed the finger at Brady earlier in the day, and Brady denied having any role in the deflated footballs.

Many have come out and criticized Brady for seemingly lying, including analysts like Troy Aikman. ESPN NFL analyst Sal Paolantonio is amongst those who are criticizing Brady and said he sees the press conference as a face saving move.

Sal Pal specifically says Brady was trying to maintain his image with the female demographic because “women don’t like cheaters.” And if you’re wondering why an NFL player cares about his image with women… well it is for endorsement purposes, specifically to sell them Ugg boots.

That’s right. Sal Pal thinks Brady went up and denied intentionally deflating football so women would keep buying Ugg boots.

I doubt that was the primary reason for Brady to deny any role in this scandal. I mean, he could’ve denied it to try to avoid being suspended for the Super Bowl…. you know, it is kind of a big deal. If Brady plays in the Super Bowl he will be the first NFL quarterback in history to start six Super Bowls.

That’s a big reason to lie if he is in fact lying.
