That’s what cup football is all about, the small teams getting their 15 minutes of fame by embarrassing the big dogs. The two biggest upsets were both Chelsea and Manchester City losing at home.

Chelsea were beaten by Bradford City in a game that ended 4-2 to the visitors. It was a massive shock but not the only one of the day as Manchester City went down 2-0 at home to Middlesbrough.

Little old Cambridge Utd held out for a draw against Manchester United, Bolton got a draw out of Liverpool and both Southampton and Tottenham were knocked out by weaker opposition.
