The Brewers have lots of mascots, so they added another one

Bernie the Brewer and the racing sausages have new company in Miller Park. Now, they will be joined by a call to the past. The Milwaukee Brewers have introduced Barrelman as their newest mascot.

Barrelman was the Brewers’ logo until 1978 and was a staple of the franchise.

Now he will be one of their many mascots. He was introduced at the team’s on deck event, where they hold a fan fest for all Brewers fans before the season begins every year.

His look, just like the original classic logo, is a tremendous drawback to the past for longtime Brewers fans.

Barrelman is another great move by Milwaukee, and not only that, is also a great marketing idea as fans will have more shirts to buy up that have the original mascot on them.

Between the giant slide that Bernie slides down and the infamous sausage races, which spurred on many other similar races across baseball such as the presidents race in Washington or the legends race in Arizona, the Brewers have been at the cutting edge of introducing successful mascots.

With the amount of mascots they have, they could probably field their own lineup as well.
