Fantasy Basketball: Late Night FanDuel lineups for January 28th

There areĀ only twoĀ games in the NBA tonight for theĀ late nightĀ FanDuel Lineups. The pickings are slim as we end this day in FanDuel, but I will try to help you out anyway!

Here are my late nightĀ FanDuel lineups for January 28th:

Point Guards:

Bargain:

Isaiah Thomas, Suns ($5,800): Thomas has four straight games of more than 28 fantasy points. That is about as sure of a thing as you are going to get.

Worth The Cost:

John Wall, Wizards ($9,100): For those of you that gambled on Wall last night, he paid off in a big way nearly posting a triple double in 36 minutes against the Lakers. Any Achilles pain he was having was not evident while he was on the court. So long as he plays tonight, he has another very good matchup against the Suns. He may be the highest scoring point guard once again.

Risky Plays:

Chris Paul, Clippers ($9,800): Just because he is there doesn’t mean you should spend the money on him. Utah is a decent defensive team, and Paul has routinely slipped below 30 fantasy points this year. That said, He is one of the few that could net you 50 in late night.

My Lineup:

Thomas and Trey Burke Ā ($11,400): Burke is starting again. That counts for something.

Shooting Guards:

Bargain:

Jamal Crawford, Clippers ($5,200): I am not sold on Crawford, but with Redick out, he will stay on the court until he passes out. He is worth a shot for the price.

Worth The Cost:

Eric Bledsoe, Suns ($8,800): Bledsoe has not been under 20 fantasy points in over a month. He is the best option at SG in the last games by a large margin.

Risky Plays:

Brad Beal, Wizards ($6,000): Beal is a big risk because of his inconsistency. That said, Jamal Crawford is more inconsistent than Beal, so if you have the extra money lying around, spring for Beal.

My Lineups:

Beal and Crawford ($11,200)

Small Forward:

Bargain:

Joe Ingles, Jazz ($4,100): Ingles has taken the SG job and run with it since Rodney Hood went down. The struggles of Dante Exum have made this an easy decision for the Jazz. Ingles has scored 70.3 fantasy points in the last three games, which is great production for his price.

Worth The Cost:

Gordon Hayward, Jazz ($7,800): I don’t really like Hayward’s matchup against the Clippers since Matt Barnes is a good defender. Still, it is hard for me to ignore just how consistently good he has been. He has his best game of the season against the Celtics on Monday. That likely won’t happen again, but he has been a sure bet for 25 fantasy points. He has only been below that mark twice in 2015.

Risky Plays:

Paul Pierce, Wizards ($5,100): If he is able to play tonight, I want him on my team. If not, I am going with Matt Barnes. He is more of a contributor on defense, but he has not been in single digits in 2015. He won’t be a complete loss even if he has a bad gam

My Lineups:

Ingles and Barnes ($9,.100)

Power Forwards:

Bargains:

Derrick Favors, Jazz ($7,500): I don’t trust either Washington PF, and Markieff Morris is a risky play every time he takes the court. That leaves Favors, who has been over 30 fantasy points in all but three of his last ten games. That is pretty reliable for such a small slate.

Worth The Cost:

Blake Griffin, Clippers ($9,900): Griffin is the guy worth spending big on tonight. He is more reliable than Paul and DeAndre Jordan. Still, if the Clippers run off with this, they will rest their stars. Even so, I don’t see anyone coming close to Griffin’s production at PF tonight.

Risky Plays:

Markieff Morris, Suns ($6,300): His inconsistency is maddening. He has not been over 30 fantasy pointsĀ since January 13th, and he has a tough matchup agianst the Wizards. Humprhies may even be a better start than him tonight.

My Lineups:

Griffin and Morris ($16,200)

Center:

Bargains:

Alex Len, Suns ($5,100): I don’t trust Len, but he is the cheapest starter if you run out of money.

Worth The Cost:

DeAndre Jordan, Clippers ($8,400): He is by far the best option at center. He is the only somewhat reliable one, and even then I am not convinced that he has a good night. But it should be better than everone else’s

Risky Play:

Enes Kanter ($5,900) and Rudy Gobert ($6,400), Jazz: I don’t like the matchup against DeAndre Jordan for either one of them. Gobert is a slightly better play since he won’t have to tangle with Jordan as much, but I still don’t trust it. You shouldn’t be scraping for a center on a heavy night like tonight. Go for a safer option.

My Lineup:

Jordan ($8,400)
