There are only two games for the turbo FanDuel tournaments tonight. Cost isn’t really an issue. There will be a lot of the same lineups out there, so you need to choose something off the beaten path.

Here are my turbo FanDuel lineups February 3:
Point Guards
Bargains:
Tyler Johnson, Heat ($4,300): Johnson had a big game against Boston on Sunday, putting up 36.8 fantasy points. He has done well when he has seen the court this year. With Dwyane Wade out, it appears as if Johnson, not Shabazz Napier, is the favorite to start. He will provide great value for the price so long as he plays more than half the game.
Marcus Smart, Celtics ($4,600): Look, there isn’t much to choose from, especially if you want to go cheap. Smart has averaged 21 fantasy points over his last four games, which is a good return on your investment. He is still a rookie, and still streaky. The fact that Evan Turner is still toiling away at PG don’t bode well for him either, but as long as he plays fairly well, the Celtics will roll with him. He is the reason that they traded Rajon Rondo, after all.
Worth The Cost:
D.J. Augustin, Pistons ($7,000): Augustin is no longer a bargain, but he does have a great matchup against the Heat. He has bordered on dominant in three of his four starts since Brandon Jennings went down. Tonight should be no different. He will likely be the top scorer at PG in the turbo tournaments. If you gamble at PG, only do it on one slot. Use the other on Augustin.
Risky Play:
Langston Galloway, Knicks ($5,300): The Knicks are in a bit of a pickle right now. Jose Calderon is back. Tim Hardaway Jr. is playing very well. Carmelo Anthony is still on the court. That leaves the Knicks torn between developing Hardaway, Galloway and Lance Thomas or showcasing Jose Calderon so they can trade him. His value is very low right now. Look for the Knicks to play Calderon at least 30 minutes a game, which could cut into the court time for Galloway and Hardaway. Galloway has been under 20 fantasy points four times in the last ten games, but he has only been under 30 minutes twice.
My Lineups:
A: Augustin and Smart ($11,600)
B: Augustin and Galloway ($12,300)
Next: Where Do You Go With Wade Out?

Shooting Guards:
Bargain:
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Pistons ($4,800): The Pistons seem willing to play Jodie Meeks at SF, meaning KCP can go back to getting 35+ minutes per game. He racked up 40 against Houston on Saturday, and had possibly the best game of his career. He posted 28 points, five rebounds, four assists, three blocks and a steal. I doubt he can do the same against the Heat, but if he plays anywhere near that much, he could break 30 fantasy points.
Worth The Cost:
Tim Hardaway Jr., Knicks ($5,000): He has been getting between 20 and 25 minutes per game which has translated into nine straight games of double digit fantasy points. With the slim pickings tonight, that kind of consistency is worth it.
Risky Plays:
Evan Turner, Celtics ($5,400): Turner has only scored 18.1 fantasy points in his last two games combined. His minutes are down with Smart playing pretty well. It is becoming obvoius that Turner is not part of the team’s future. Which is bad news for us daily players since Turner was a great bargain for a couple of weeks.
Jodie Meeks, Pistons ($4,000): Meeks’s minutes have fluctuated from 15 to 34 in the span of five games. It’s hard to gamble on a guy like that, even if he does have good upside.
My Lineups:
A and B: Hardaway and Caldwell-Pope ($9,800)
Next: Who Do You Take After Anthony?
Dec 23, 2014; Miami, FL, USA; Miami Heat forward Luol Deng (9) takes a breather during the second half against Philadelphia 76ers at American Airlines Arena. The 76ers won 91-87. Mandatory Credit: Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports
Small Forwards:
Bargain:
Luol Deng, Heat ($6,000): Deng will play tonight. With only two decent options at SF, you almost have to play him. He was on quite a roll, scoring 66.5 fantasy points in the two games before his latest injury. You have to roll the dice with Deng. It gets really sketchy with Kyle Singler no longer starting and Tayshaun Prince doubtful for tonight.
Worth The Cost:
Carmelo Anthony, Knicks ($9,800): If Anthony is on the court, you have to play him, especially in a turbo tournament that has no other good options. He is the only guy in the turbo tourney that is capable of scoring more than 40 fantasy points at SF. He has to be in your lineup.
Risky Play:
Jae Crowder, Celtics ($3,500): With Tayshaun Prince out, it will likely be Crowder and Evan Turner that see extra minutes. Especially if Avery Bradley is a no go. This is purely a gut call, and could go very badly. It is also a big risk since the highest this payout could go is likely 20 fantasy points.
My Lineups:
A and B: Anthony and Deng ($15,500)
Next: The Best Options Are At PF
Jan 7, 2015; Dallas, TX, USA; Detroit Pistons forward Greg Monroe (10) looks to pass against the Dallas Mavericks during the second half at the American Airlines Center. Monroe leads his team with 27 points. The Pistons defeated the Mavericks 108-95. Mandatory Credit: Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports
Power Forwards:
Bargains:
Lou Amundson, Knicks ($4,300): Amundson has been a beast over his last four games. He has averaged 26.7 fantasy points per game in that span, which is beast-worthy at his price. He is a strong play against the revolving door known as the Boston frontcourt.
Brandon Bass, Celtics ($5,300): Bass has been over 21 fantasy points in eight of his last ten games. He is playing a lot, and playing well. So well in fact that he has supplanted Jared Sullinger in the starting lineup. At least for now.
Worth The Cost:
Greg Monroe ($8,500): Monroe has only been under 30 fantasy points once since Josh Smith was waived, and that was a 28 point performance. He might be the highest scorer of the turbo tournaments. He might have his hands full with Chris Bosh and Hassan Whiteside down low, but not enough for me to avoid playing him.
Chris Bosh ($7,800): Bosh is not the sure-fire option that he was earlier this season, but he still provides between 25 and 35 fantasy points with regularity. It may be worth spending the money for a sure thing if you have it.
Risky Play:
Jared Sullinger, Celtics ($6,200): I really don’t understand why the Celtics only played Sully for 19 minutes on Sunday. It resulted in his first sub-20 point fantasy outing in his last 12 games. He might be the best player that the Celtics have, but can you trust that they will play him?
My Lineups:
A: Monroe and Amundson ($12,800)
B: Monroe and Sullinger ($14,700)
Next: Drummond or Whiteside?
Jan 3, 2015; Houston, TX, USA; Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside (21) dunks the ball during the fourth quarter against the Houston Rockets at Toyota Center. Mandatory Credit: Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports
Center:
Bargain:
Tyler Zeller, Celtics ($4,900): Zeller has been over 20 fantasy points in three of his last four games with Kelly Olynyk out. I still don’t trust the Boston rotation, so there is some risk involved.
Worth The Cost:
Hassan Whiteside, Heat ($7,000): Whiteside has averaged 43.2 fantasy points in his last four games. No one else at this price comes anywhere close to that production. Not even D.J. Augustin.
Risky Play:
Andre Drummond, Pistons ($8,300): Drummond has been up and down a lot over his last ten games. He has been between 10.4 and 56.9 fantasy points in that span. Why take that chance?
My Lineups:
A and B: Whiteside ($7,000)
