Florida 2015 Recruiting Class: Who did the Gators sign?
The firing of Will Muschamp and hiring of Jim McElwain may have a positive impact for the Florida Gators on the football field, but the coaching staff changes have hurt on the recruiting trail.
Will Muschamp was a stellar recruiter during his time as the head coach of the Florida Gators, but his inability to recruit a successful offensive coordinator and the prolonged ineptitude of the offense resulted in his firing.

The move may prove to be the right one in the long run with former Colorado State head coach and former Alabama offensive coordinator, Jim McElwain hired to lead the Gators back to the SEC Championship Game. However, the change in staffs is resulting in Florida having one of their worst recruiting classes in recent history.
Florida only has 16 commitments heading into National Signing Day and two of them came on Feb. 2 when Jordan Scarlett and Chris Williamson joined the class. Scarlett is Florida’s highest-ranked recruit as the nation’s No. 118 player overall and one of two four-star commitments.

Hail Florida Hail
The Gators are in the running for elite five-star talents and in-state recruits, Martez Ivey, Byron Cowart, CeCe Jefferson and four-star outside linebacker Jeffery Holland, but if Florida strikes out on the foursome it is going to be a long offseason for McElwain and Florida.
But don’t be too critical yet of McElwain until he has a full year to hit the recruiting trail so let’s see what he can do in 2016 and beyond.
As the signed letters of intent are faxed in this page will be updated throughout the day to reflect the changes to Florida’s class, so stay with us at FanSided throughout signing day for the latest developments on the recruiting trail for McElwain’s Gators.
Update: 3:00 p.m.
Florida came away with a pair of five-star recruits on signing day with Martez Ivey and CeCe Jefferson headlining McElwain’s first class.
