Now he just has to do it again and prove it wasn’t a fluke and he’s got to replenish the mass exodus of talent on both sides of the ball, putting the onus on his 2015 recruiting class.
His best recruiting job may have been convincing Heisman candidate, Dak Prescott to return and bypass the NFL Draft, but he’s also got the nation’s No. 18 recruiting class, one spot ahead of rival Ole Miss.

Maroon and White Nation
The Bulldogs have one of the bigger classes in the country this year with 27 commitments and six of them already enrolled for the spring semester to get a jump start on their freshmen seasons. In total, Mississippi State has six four-star recruits with Bassfield, MS safety Jamal Peters the headliner of the class as the nation’s No. 58 ranked player.
Mississippi State has a nice mix of junior college and high school recruits Mullen and Mississippi State fans in the Magnolia State will hope result in more teams being ranked No. 1 in the coming years.

State finished with the No. 18 class and got a huge signing of No. 1 ILB Leo Lewis on signing day after he picked the Dawgs over LSU. State signed a big class with 28 incoming recruits, including seven four-star recruits.
