The 6-2, 240-pound power back from Rockwall, TX ultimately chose to stay close to home and signed with Charlie Strong’s Texas program over the Huskies.
Warren is the nation’s No. 77 ranked recruit overall regardless of position, No. 8 running back and the No. 12 recruit in the talent-rich state of Texas, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Texas gets a physical back who should fit in nicely in Austin with their style of play and should help revitalize their ground game after rushing for 2, 329 yards and 34 touchdowns as a senior at Rockwall high school.
The Longhorns are still waiting to find out if they’ll be adding to their 2015 class with an announcement from five-star defensive tackle Daylon Mack later in the day, but Texas appears poised to have a top-10 class in the first full year on the recruiting trail for Strong.
