Lodge originally was a Texas A&M commitment before decommitting in his senior year. The 6-2.5, 190-pound receiver took official visits to Ole Miss, Texas A&M, LSU and USC and named the Rebels his leader on Dec. 28.
He’s got great size for the position and the hands and ball skills to have a chance to play right away as a true freshman opposite former five-star recruit Laquon Treadwell.
As a senior he caught 63 passes for 1,218 and 25 touchdowns.
Ole Miss receiver Quincy Adeboyejo went to the same high school as Lodge and after announcing he was committing to Ole Miss, Lodge said he looked up to him and thinks he’s a “great kid.”
The signing of Lodge helps make up for the Rebels losing four-star offensive tackle Drew Richmond who decommitted earlier in the week and signed with Tennessee on Wednesday.
