Texas A&M was able to keep their guy as five-star defensive tackle Daylon Mack committed again to the Aggies.
Five-star defensive tackle Daylon Mack (Gladewater, TX. Gladewater) was a must-have recruit for Texas A&M considering their lack of impact playmakers on defense other than Myles Garrett.

Mack originally committed to Texas A&M on Oct. 21, 2013 but decommitted on Dec. 19 and opened up his recruitment and took official visits to Texas and TCU. In the end, however Mack recommitted to the place he felt was like home and could vie for a starting spot as a true freshman.
The Aggie offense is built for success in the short and long term, but the defense is in dire need of help and the 6-1, 330-pound defensive tackle should be able to form a formidable duo on the defensive line with Garrett.
New defensive coordinator John Chavis got the perfect defensive tackle for the type of defense he runs and Mack could turn into the latest linemen to get to the NFL after thriving in Chavis’ scheme’
Mack has a great burst and even played some fullback in high school so his 10-yard splits should result in him getting in the opponents backfield often during his college career and collapsing the pocket.
As a senior, Mack had 82 tackles, 37 for loss and five sacks.
