Penn State head coach wasn’t impressed with Britt McHenry’s outfit color choice during National Signing Day.
Today is National Signing Day and high school athletes around the country are deciding where they will play their college football at. It is a rather mundane day watching high school kids announce college decisions, like the NFL draft but a lot slower with players you’re less familiar with.

Sometimes there are interesting little things that happen, like players announcing their decisions in weird ways. For instance this interview with Penn State head coach James Franklin.
He was being interviewed by ESPN’s Britt McHenry on campus, and McHenry was decked out in a shade of red. Penn State’s colors are blue and white and Franklin was critical of her red outfit on air.
Red is the primary color of some rival Big Ten schools, like Wisconsin, Nebraska and Ohio State for example. The red certainly makes McHenry stand out amongst a crowd of people in Penn State colors, but probably was an odd choice. She could’ve gone with a more neutral color.
At the same time it doesn’t really matter. But nevertheless, it was a fun exchange between Franklin and McHenry on a day that otherwise drags on.
