Tight End Jordan Cameron doesn’t want to be a member of the Cleveland Browns next year

Browns fans have been asking for a couple of decades if things can get worse. Unfortunately, they always can. After their receiver Josh Gordon was suspended again, this time for a year, and their quarterback Johnny Manziel who they spent a first-round pick on, entered rehab. Things haven’t been looking good for Cleveland, who was at one point was 7-4 last year. Now their star tight end doesn’t plan on returning.

More from Cleveland Browns

Jordan Cameron has established himself as one of the better tight ends in the league and one of the better players the Cleveland Browns have on their roster.

Unfortunately for the Browns, Cameron is a free agent and according to Jason La Canfora, Cameron wants no part of the disaster that is Cleveland and has every intention of leaving.

La Canfora also notes that things are worse now in Cleveland under the ownership of Jimmy Haslam than they ever have been before.

"Boy, was I wrong. I could not have been more wrong. Things are actually worse than ever in Cleveland, where even a surprising seven-win season has been marred by the unraveling of the staff, the roster, and any faint hopes that for once, finally, this franchise might be on the upswing. Haslam has brought nothing but misery and instability to the franchise, at the same time a federal investigation into fraud charges was ravaging the business his father created, Pilot Flying J."

The instability of the Haslam situation, has created a black cloud that continues to hang over the Browns franchise and will have repercussions.

Losing Cameron will probably be one of those repercussions.

Cameron, a USC product, was drafted by the Browns in 2011. If Cameron can prove he’s healthy, he will be a very hot commodity on the open market.

After the Browns traded out of the chance at drafting Sammy Watkins and let the Buffalo Bills trade up to get him, their 2014 picks have not panned out. Manziel is in rehab and looked awful in his two starts and cornerback Justin Gilbert wasn’t great either.

Luckily for the Browns, they have the Bills first round pick in 2015 after the trade. With Cameron leaving and Gordon supsended, the Browns will have to address getting skill position players for whoever is at signal caller for them next season.
