Cleveland Browns talented tight end Jordan Cameron has no interest in re-signing with the team in free agency with the franchise spiraling downwards quickly.
Jordan Cameron was expected to have a huge season with the Cleveland Browns this past year, but that didn’t end up happening. Injuries bogged him down for a while, but the Browns’ coaching staff and quarterback situation were also major factors in his disappointing 2014 campaign.

Despite the fact that the Browns were actually legitimate playoff contenders over halfway through the season, it was an ugly year that ended uglier than many thought it could have.
The Browns are now stuck with the disappointment of Johnny Manziel, and the year-long suspension (at least) of star wide receiver Josh Gordon. Add onto that the fact that Ray Farmer is facing a suspension and loss of draft pick for the “Textgate” issue that they had this past year. Cleveland is in a world of hurt, and there isn’t a light at the end of the tunnel in sight yet.
Cameron reportedly has no interest in re-signing with the Browns this coming offseason, and will be looking at other teams immediately when free agency opens up. One team to keep an eye on in free agency would be the Green Bay Packers, as they could use a tight end upgrade over both Andrew Quarless and Richard Rodgers.
During the 2014 season, Cameron ended up catching 24 passes for 424 yards and two touchdowns. Two years ago in 2013, Cameron caught 80 passes for 917 yards and seven touchdowns.
As you can see, the drop in production was very upsetting for Cameron and he is ready to go elsewhere. There aren’t many teams that wouldn’t be interested in a 6’5″ and 249-pound tight end for their quarterback. If the Packers did end up getting him, Aaron Rodgers would have an even more talented version of Jermichael Finley to work with.
It is going to be interesting to see what type of price tag Cameron has on him in free agency. He is coming off of a very disappointing year, which will probably end up lowering the cost to sign him a bit.
There aren’t many better tight end options than Cameron on the market, if any, and at 26 years of age he has plenty of top-notch football left in him. Don’t be surprised to see quite a bit of interest in him immediately when free agency opens up, and for him to have plenty of different offers to choose from.
