Five-star defensive end recruit CeCe Jefferson announcd he would attend Florida on National Signing Day, but his father has different plans.

National Signing Day has become a circus, with people gathering around their televisions to see where the top uncommitted high school recruits in the nation will choose to play their college football.

Usually, the day is full of smiles and even some tears of joy.

Unfortunately, it isn’t always a pleasant experience for everyone and five-star defensive end recruit CeCe Jefferson, who announced his intentions to join the Florida Gators during a nationally televised press conference, is finding out the hard way.

Jefferson was excited to join Florida and even went on to do the “Gator Chomp.”

His dad, however, was not as pleased and is telling everyone who will listen that he has no plans on signing the Letter of Intent his father needs.

Mike Farrell wasn’t the only one who heard the news from Leo.

It is unfortunate to see someone put themselves before their child, especially on a day that is supposed to be as special. Hopefully CeCe Jefferson will eventually get the signatures he needs to join the University of Florida.

If his dream is to join UF and play football for the Gators, you would hope no one would stand in his way — especially his own family.
