A Dutch soccer player suffered a horrific arm injury while attacking on offense, and it looked like his arm simply snapped in half.
Soccer is a sport that is well-known for having quite a few faked injuries, but there are also quite a few injuries that occur for real in the sport. That was the case for Dutch soccer player Hedwiges Maduro, who appeared to snap his arm in half after falling while he was attacking on the offensive side of the field.

It certainly isn’t something that someone with a queasy stomach should watch, but it does show just how easy it is for something to go terribly wrong with an arm.
Maduro simply fell to the ground and put his arm out to support his fall. That type of thing is a freak accident, and unfortunately will cause Maduro a lot of pain and rehab before he can get back on the pitch.
Injuries are a common occurrence in the world of sports, but this serious of an injury isn’t something that happens everyday. Needless to say, it was a lot like the injury that Seattle Seahawks defensive back Jeremy Lane suffered in the first half of Super Bowl 49. Planting an arm to support a fall doesn’t usually end up badly, but it did this time.
Take a look at the video of the injury if you think you can handle it:
