With only 4 games slated tonight, there will not be a high amount of variance amongst lineups. One good sleeper can make the difference between being a loser, or being in the money. Before you solidify your lineup tonight, make sure that an injury doesn’t derail your potential winnings. HERE is the NBA injury report for this Thursday night. Also, you can follow HERE for up to the minute updates on injuries and lineup changes. Here are my FanDuel NBA Daily Picks and Lineups for February 5:
At the Point Guard position:
John Wall – 9300
Last time out against Charlotte was a bust in terms of recent production for Wall. He scored only 28 fantasy points. Prior to that game, he was averaging around 47 fppg. I’m looking for him to get back on that track tonight against Brian Roberts.
Honorable Mention:
Brian Roberts – 4300
He is a solid value play. Since taking over for the injured Kemba Walker at point guard, Roberts has been averaging a value over 4.7x. His price is low, so it’s still not many points, but if you don’t have a lot of FanDuel cash left, he is a great pickup.
Next: Shooting Guard

Monta Ellis – 7900
Rajon Rondo should still be out tonight. Regardless of who plays point guard for the Mavs, one thing is certain; Monta will get his touches.
Wes Matthews – 5900
In his last two games, he has scored more than 30 fantasy points. That puts his recent value over 5x. Tonight, he faces a Suns team that ranks in the bottom 10 defensively against shooting guards, and also, the have the 2nd highest pace in the league. This means more touches, and more shots for Wes tonight.
Honorable Mention:
Jamal Crawford – 5200
As of now, J.J. Redick is expected to sit out with a minor back injury. Crawford should be a lock for the open starting spot. In order to keep up with a red-hot Cavs team, the Clips will need points in bunches. There aren’t many players in this league who are as capable as Jamal at doing just that.
Next: Small Forward
Jan 28, 2015; Houston, TX, USA; Dallas Mavericks forward Chandler Parsons (25) shoots the ball during the third quarter against the Houston Rockets at Toyota Center. The Rockets defeated the Mavericks 99-94. Mandatory Credit: Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports
Chandler Parsons – 6100
He sat out two games, and then came back and scored 33 fantasy points. He should have no problem duplicating that 5x + performance tonight against a Kings team who gives up the 2nd most fantasy ppg to small forwards.
Honorable Mention:
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist – 6100
His last two games have been outstanding, averaging 37.5 fantasy points. Also, the Wizards are in the bottom 10 defensively against small forwards. This is a relatively small sample-size, but there is the possibility that he keeps it up for another game.
Next: Power Forwards
Nov 24, 2014; Charlotte, NC, USA; Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin (32) goes up to dunk the ball during the first half against the Charlotte Hornets at Time Warner Cable Arena. Mandatory Credit: Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports
Blake Griffin – 9600
On offense, Blake Griffin is Blake Griffin. He can shoot, pass, and dunk. He makes the list tonight because of opposing defense. Either Kevin Love or Timofey Mozgov will be guarding him. Love has had his defensive liabilities pointed out to us for months, and the aggressive Mozgov can sometimes wind up in foul trouble early against physical big men. LeBron James will be out guarding the perimeter, and Kyrie Irving will be all over CP3. The offense should be running through Blake in the high post tonight.
Honorable Mention:
Kris Humphries – 5000
The last five games have been great for Kris. He is averaging 28 fantasy ppg in that span. The Wizards are in the bottom half of the league on defense agaisnt 4’s. Humphries hasn’t shown any signs of fading, and I don’t expect him to. 25 points from him gets him value over 5.
Next: Centers
Feb 2, 2015; Washington, DC, USA; Charlotte Hornets center Al Jefferson (25) grabs the ball in front of Washington Wizards center Marcin Gortat (4) in the fourth quarter at Verizon Center. The Hornets won 92-88. Mandatory Credit: Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports
Al Jefferson – 8100
Over his last five games, he has been averaging just a tad under 37 fantasy points per game. With Kemba Walker out, the offense has been flowing primarily through Jefferson. The Wizards are in the bottom half of the league defensively against opposing centers. With the minutes, and touches, that Al will get tonight, he should be good for nearly 40 points. (5x value)
Tyson Chandler – 6700
Tyson has averaged 30 fantasy points over each of his last 4 games. At this price, his recent value is 4.5x. Over the past 5 games, The Kings have been in the bottom 10 against centers. I don’t see a huge game for Chandler, but he should hit value even against DeMarcus Cousins tonight.
Next: Your Winning FanDuel Lineup
