Harry Kane set for England call up

After one heck of a breakthrough season, Harry Kane is in line to receive his first England call up according to Three Lions manager, Roy Hodgson.

Harry Kane is set to be called up for Roy Hodgson’s next England squad, after being in the form of his life.

The 21-year-old Spurs striker has netted 23 goals in all competitions this season in just 35 games, including braces against London rivals, Arsenal and Chelsea. Kane’s performances have convinced people that he’s ready to play international football at the highest level.

Hodgson has certainly taken notice to Kane’s performances and believes he’s worth a place in the next England squad.

“Is he worth a place in the squad? Of course he is,” Hodgson said, via The Guardian. “He certainly deserves a place in the squad as much as, say, Saido did in the last squad. I like to think I do show a certain degree of loyalty to players who have been playing for a while and who I know I can trust.

“But I also like to think that I’m prepared to give someone a chance when he’s really showing with his current form he’s worthy of a place. Harry has all the qualities you want in a centre-forward.”

Right now, Kane definitely deserves a place as he is the most in-form English striker right now but if his place is in fact guaranteed, it could mean one of Danny Welbeck or Daniel Sturridge could miss out.
