The NBA has released a Vine that mixes Zach Lavine’s dunks on Saturday with Vince Carter’s jams from the 2000 slam dunk contest. It is awesome.

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Zach LaVine put on a show for the ages at the Slam Dunk Contest on Saturday.

While recent editions of the Slam Dunk Contest have been widely panned by NBA fans, LaVine’s dunks were so strong that fans couldn’t help but be reminded of beloved Slam Dunk Contests from previous eras, such as the 2000 contest in which then-Toronto Raptors guard Vince Carter put up one of the all-time great dunk contest performances.

So, NBA fans are sure to be pleased with the NBA’s latest Vine, which mixes together LaVine’s dunks from Saturday with Carter’s from 2000.

Take a look at the fantastic video below:

The pure athleticism and dunking ability displayed in that six-second video is truly remarkable.

Also, considering Carter is regarded by many as the greatest dunker in NBA history, it really says something about what LaVine did on Saturday that he’s being compared to Vinsanity. The praise is well deserved, too.

We can only hope the Timberwolves guard remains in the competition for years to come because he’s undoubtedly a truly special dunker.
