Justin Forsett was a pleasant surprise for the Baltimore Ravens in 2014 and almost got the surprise of a lifetime by nearly being forced to deliver his own baby.
The Baltimore Ravens struck gold with the signing of running back Justin Forsett who was one of the biggest bargains in the NFL in 2014 and ran for 1,266 yards and eight touchdowns to boost the team in the wake of Ray Rice’s suspension and subsequent release.

Forsett proved to be up to the task to handle anything and everything presented his way in his first season with the Ravens, but what happened on Valentine’s Day was something he had never prepared for, delivering his son as his wife went in labor.
The Forsett family got the best Valentine’s Day gift ever when Justin’s wife Michelle went in labor and as he drove to the birthing center in a driving snowstorm he thought he may have to pull over to the side of the road and deliver the baby himself.
Things were moving so fast that he thought he would have to play the biggest role of his life and help bring his newborn baby into the world, but he navigated their way to the trained professionals so he didn’t have to be Dr. Forsett.
As an NFL player you have to read and react quickly, especially a running back who has to make split-second decisions whether to hit the hole as designed or take an alternate route and freelance a bit to break off a long run.
Turns out Forsett was more than ready for what he had to encounter on Saturday night as he and his wife were on their way to a Lauryn Hill concert when Zion decided it was time for him to make his entry into the world.
Congrats to the Forsett family.
