The NASCAR driver posted a weird video to his Instagram

After a chaotic weekend of practice and qualifying which ended with Clint Bowyer and Reed Sorenson getting involved in a wreck, it appears the Bowyer has lost his mind. The driver who was fuming in his post-qualifying interview Sunday posted a strange video to his Instagram account.

Rather than single-driver qualifying, the new format had multiple cars at once, and that was a recipe for disaster on a track like Daytona where speeds hit almost 200 mph.

Bowyer, clearly unhappy with the new qualifying rules at Daytona, was upset during his interview after.

"‘There’s no reason to be out here. These guys have spent six months working on these cars, busting their butts on these cars. … It’s NASCAR’s fault for putting us out in the middle of this crap for nothing. We used to come down here and worry about who would set on the front pole in the biggest race of the year. Now all we do is come down here and worry about how a start‑and‑park like this out of desperation is going to knock us out of the Daytona 500.”"

It appears that now Bowyer has gone from angry to strange state of delirium with his video on instagram.

In the video, Bowyer’s head is morphed like a pumpkin and his voice sounds like he ingested helium. He doesn’t just talk funny, he talks funny while discussing the events that occurred on the race track while reminding everyone that his team will be ready for next Sunday.

So while other drivers are upset about the new format, they haven’t gone to the level of losing their collective minds like Clint Bowyer yet.

For Bowyer’s sake, let’s hope he’s in normal functioning shape for the Budweiser Duel Thursday night, where positions 3-32 will be determined in two qualifying races.

If not, we might see more strange Clint Bowyer videos.
