The Denver Nuggets point guard, Ty Lawson, is frustrated with the team. Is the fifth-year point guard on the verge of being traded?

The last game that Ty Lawson played for the Denver Nuggets he had himself a career night. Lawson had 32 points on 60 percent shooting, three rebounds, 16 assists, and two steals against the Los Angeles Lakers in a 106-96 victory.

Most people in the league would dream about having that type of night, but Lawson has been making it a routine to put up these types of numbers in games.

This season the 5’11”, 195-pound point guard is leading the NBA in assists and he’s having a career year averaging 16.9 points, 3.2 rebounds, 10.1 assists, 1.3 steals while having a PER of 19.54.

So how is it that the 27-year-old point guard from Clinton, Maryland is on the trading block?

It’s been alleged that Lawson’s time playing for the Denver Nuggets is going to come to an impending finale. Recently Lawson missed the Nuggets practice on Wednesday, which was the first practice after the All-Star break, because of derailed travel plans.

In spite of Lawson’s great productivity this season, he and head coach Brian Shaw have had difficulty getting on the same page.

Sources say that Shaw would rather have the Indiana Pacers point guard, George Hill, to lead the team since he’s bigger (6’3 188 pounds), because he can play at multiple tempos (fast and slow), and since he’s a better defender than Lawson. Additionally while Shaw was an assistant coach for the Pacers he watched Hill grow into a great player and was one of the mentors in his life.

The Nuggets have already traded away their shooting guard Arron Afflalo away to the Portland Trail Blazers, so their front office is looking like they are staying in rebuilding mode.

If the Nuggets happened to trade Lawson away some of the teams that should be interested in his services are the Miami Heat, Brooklyn Nets, Detroit Pistons, New York Knicks, Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Lakers.

However the Nuggets should ultimately be reluctant to trade away one of the best point guards in the game. Even with the recent issues on the team Lawson’s been the one people that have provided the Nuggets with consistency, and reliability.

However the way that the NBA trade deadline has moved all morning, it’ll be no surprise if Lawson does get traded.

Keep looking out for Lawson’s possible impending trade.
