NASCAR: Kyle Busch injured in accident at Daytona (Video)
After Regan Smith was flipped at the Xfinity Series race at Daytona Saturday, Kyle Busch was injured in another big wreck.
On Lap 113 of the Xfinity Series race at Daytona on Sunday, Kyle Busch spun while pushing Erik Jones. Busch’s car barreled through the infield and crash into an infield wall where there were no SAFER barriers in place.
Busch immediately attempted to exit the car, and safety crews rushed to the scene to get fire extinguishers on the car. As Busch tried to exit, he appeared to have caught his right leg causing an injury.
Kyle Busch’s leg was wrapped in a splint and he was transported to a nearby hospital via ambulance after the accident. He was also complaining of neck and back pain over the team radio.

Many drivers hopped on Twitter to talk about frustration that there were not safety barrels on the infield wall.
Hopefully Kyle Busch will be okay, and be able to race in NASCAR’s first big event, the Daytona 500 on Sunday. You should see changes coming soon in regards to safety barrels on inside walls for NASCAR’s second big series very soon.
