The Dallas Cowboys have reportedly offered Dez Bryant a contract offer to keep the talent wide receiver.
When the Dallas Cowboys take the field during the 2015 NFL season, they would prefer to do so with their number one wide receiver under contract. It is being reported now that the team has officially offered Dez Bryant a new deal, per reports by Star-Telegram reporter Clarence Hill. While the figure is currently undisclosed, it marks a relatively quick response towards the questions of who the team’s off-season free agent priorities were.

Bryant, the 24th overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, is coming off of a career year in Dallas. For the 2014 season, the talented wide out caught 88 passes for 1,320 yards and 16 touchdowns. It was his third consecutive season with at least 1,200 yards and 12 TD grabs.
The team is reportedly now awaiting on a response from Bryant’s representatives, specifically Roc Nation Sports, with whom the receiver signed with back in November.
The reason the cowboys haven't talked to Dez Bryant's agents is because the agents haven't made contact. The cowboys already made an offer

The Cowboys have recently expressed more interest in placing the franchise tag on Bryant over fellow free agent DeMarco Murray. The pro-bowl running back ran for a league leading 1,845 yards on the ground, a Cowboys franchise record. He also rushed for 13 touchdowns of his own.
Dallas finished this past season with a 12-4 record, winning the NFC East in the process and making the playoffs for the first time since 2009. Part of the reason for the team’s year long success was the effective mix of both the aerial and ground attack on offense. While Romo was consistent all year for the Cowboys to the tune of 34 TD, 9 INT, 3,705 yards, and a league leading 113.2 passer rating, it was Murray’s rushing prowess that took a lot of pressure off of his arm.
That being said, elite talent at the skills positions is becoming somewhat of a premium these days. The Cowboys had a decision to make in whom they would address first, and it would appear that pick is Bryant. Should the team want to contend again next season though, it will likely have to find a way to resign both players.
