UPDATE: The new Cleveland Browns logo has officially been released this morning, 2/24/15.

The new logo features an updated version of the team’s “Swagger” dog logo and a new shade of orange. Cleveland is also rumored to be releasing new Browns uniforms but no new information has been released as of today.

During the 2015 NFL Scouting Combine, was the new Cleveland Browns logo accidentally leaked on the NFL Network?

UPDATE, 2/23: The logo in question was a lesser known strength and conditioning logo as speculated in the original post. There are other rumors swirling that the Browns logo will be a silhouette of Paul Brown, but nothing official has been confirmed.

We will update this post on Tuesday morning when the logo is officially released by the team.

The Cleveland Browns are expected to “launch” their new primary logo next week on Tuesday, February 24.

The team will then also unveil new Nike uniforms for next season.

While there is still plenty of mystery about the new logo and the new uniforms for 2015, there has been some information slowly surfacing in the recent months. For one, we know the new logo is not expected to feature “Brownie the Elf” in any way.

As for the uniforms, there are not expected to be many drastic changes, with the hope being they are able to put a modern twist on the look while sticking to tradition.

On Sunday afternoon, however, there was a brief moment when NFL Network cameras showed Cleveland Browns head coach Mike Pettine and some of his staff members sitting up in a box at Lucas Oil Stadium. In the frame was a hat which featured an unfamiliar Cleveland Browns logo.

Could this possibly be the new Browns primary logo?

If so, it would appear the Browns will be going with the “Dawg Pound” logo, with a dumbell in the mouth of the dog.

Of course, this could just be a special logo that the team uses in their own facilities — perhaps with the strength and conditioning staff — so we will just have to wait and see just how accurate this proves to be and if it was in fact a leak.
