While it is no secret that Peterson would be welcomed back in Minnesota, the Vikings will not be making direct contact until they are given permission.
“Adrian Peterson is an important member of the Minnesota Vikings, and our focus remains on welcoming him back when he is able to rejoin our organization,” the Vikings said in a statement, via Pro Football Talk. “Today’s ruling leaves Adrian’s status under the control of the NFL, the NFLPA and the legal system, and we will have no further comment at this time.”
The NFL has appealed the ruling surrounding Adrian Peterson, so there is no official timeline for when the running back could return.
Peterson was set to have his suspension revisited on April 15, but now arbitrator Harold Henderson will hear the appeal and anything could change.
