Daily Fantasy Basketball: FanDuel Lineups For February 27

All but two NBA teams take the court tonight, which makes it the busiest night in the league so far this year. That leaves us plenty of FanDuel options. Tonight is a night where you have to make educated guesses and hope for the best.

Due to time contstraints and copmputer issues (I won’t bore you with the details), this won’t be as in-depth as you have come to expect. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I won’t leave you hanging!

The ā€œCā€ lineups are for the turbo tournaments. The ā€œDā€ lineups are for the late night.

More from FanDuel

Here are my FanDuel lineups for February 27:

Point Guards:

Players I like:

Russell Westbrook, Thunder ($11,200): Using a lineup without Westbrook seems like a fool’s errand right now. He has averaged 54 fantasy points over his last ten games. Averaged! That is an average of almost 5x value. That is unheard ofĀ from his price. He is matchup-proof without Kevin Durant in the lineup

Tyreke Evans, Pelicans ($8,400): Solid matchup against Miami. I wish he was still at SG in FanDuel because there are so many PG’s that I want to play tonight.

Ricky Rubio, Timberwolves ($7,300): Love his matchup with Rose out, and has played well against good defenses in Golden State, Memphis, and Washington. He scored more than 30 fantasy points in each of those games.

Reggie Jackson, Pistons ($6,100): None of us should be surprised. We saw what he was capable of with the Thunder. GREAT matchup against the Knicks.

George Hill, Pacers ($5,600): Great matchup against Cleveland with Kyrie Irving out. Racked up 32 fantasy points in 29 minutes against OKC on Tuesday.

Mo Williams, Hornets ($5,500): Great matchup against Celtics, thriving in Charlotte.

Aaron Brooks, Bulls ($4,500): Hinrich is clearly the backup this time around, and Brooks is capable of putting up points in flurries. Very little downside for this price.

Ray McCallum, Kings ($4,000): Held his own against Memphis. Is playing as many minutes as Andre Miller, but is clearly the better option. Much better shooter and rebounder.

Players I Don’t Like:

John Wall, Wizards ($9,100): Doesn’t produce enough for his price. Hasn’t put up over 30 fantasy points since February 20. Not a good matchup against Philly.

Ty Lawson, Nuggets ($8,200): Doesn’t look like he wants to play in Denver anymore. Had good matchups against Suns and Nets, but only scored 58.3 fantasy points combined.

Kyle Lowry, Raptors ($7,600): Tough matchup against Golden State and inconsistent production with DeRozan back have me staying away.

Goran Dragic, Heat ($6,200): Inconsistency has followed him to Miami. Tough matchup against Pelicans.

Deron Williams, Nets ($6,100): Production took a hit with Jack back. No surprise there.

Worth The Risk:

Chris Paul, Clippers ($10,200): Lit up the Grizzlies for 54 fantasy points in his last game against them.

Michael Carter-Williams, Bucks ($8,500): The team is bringing him along slowly because they can. Has great matchup aginst the Lakers, but scored 22 fantasy points in just 18 minutes in first tilt with Bucks. Could score 30 fantasy points even in just 20 minutes.

Jordan Clarkson, Lakers ($5,300): Inconsistent usage makes him a tough sell, but will get first crack to play well. That said, they are better and cheaper options tonight.

Garrett Temple, Wizards ($3,700): Beal is still out, and Temple has taken the job from Otto Porter.

Matthew Dellavedova, Cavaliers ($3,500): Getting the start tonight. His chances of being worth the price are great, but still only need 18 fantasy points to reach that criteria.

My Lineups:

A: Westbrook and Brooks ($15,700)

B:Ā Jackson and Mo WilliamsĀ ($11,600)

C: Conley and Rubio ($13,900)

D: Westbrook and Carter-Williams ($19,700)

Shooting Guards:

Players I Like:

Jimmy Butler, Bulls ($8,800): Offense has to go through Butler with both Rose and Pau Gasol out. Could have a huge night.

Klay Thompson, Warriors ($7,100): Good matchup against Raptors. Getting his stroke back after a rough stretch in last two weeks.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bucks ($6,400): Should get back on track tonight against the Lakers.

Wayne Ellington, Lakers ($5,000): Is back to jacking up lots of shots after bout with illness. One of the few scoring options the Lakers have.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Pistons ($5,100): KCP has picked up the scoring in his last four games. Great option for a great price against the Knicks.

Will Barton, Nuggets ($4,100): Appears to have taken over the SG role from departed Arron Afflalo. Has 77.5 fantasy points in 80 minutes over last three games.

Markel Brown, Nets ($3,900): Bogdanovich is questionable. Not sure he will get the job back anyway with the way Brown has played.

Players I Don’t Like:

Kevin Martin, Timberwolves ($6,900): Shooting well right now, but Jimmy Butler is a terror on defense. Too many things could go wrong here.

Evan Turner, Celtics ($6,100): Went off on the Knicks. Has tough matchup against Charlotte. Different players have been stepping up, making anyone on the team a sizeable risk right now.

Avery Bradley, Celtics ($5,600): see also: Turner, Evan

Rodney Stuckey, Pacers ($5,000): Went cold against the Thunder. Could bounce back against Cleveland, but it is not a great matchup with Iman Shumpert likely getting more court time than usual

Worth The Risk:

Dwyane Wade, Heat ($7,200): Pelicans solid on defense, but Wade won’t have a terrible game either. Will have a big part in the game with Bosh out.

Victor Oladipo, Magic ($6,900): Tough matchup against Atlanta, but it one of the better creators in the East. He will get his shots.

Wesley Matthews, Trailblazers ($6,400): The arrival of Afflalo has lit a fire under Matthews.

Eric Gordon, Pelicans ($6,300): Risky because he is only a shooter. Does have a good matchup agianst Heat.

Henry Walker, Heat ($4,200): The Heat are looking for any able bodies to help fill holes. Brown did that well against Orlando. Should get similar chances against Pelicans.

Elijah Millsap, Jazz ($4,000): Inconsistent, but has great matchup against Denver.

My Lineups:

A: Butler and Oladipo ($15,700)

B: Martin and Ellington ($11,900)

C: Butler and Gordon ($15,100)

D:Ā Antetokounmpo and Barton ($10,500)

Small Forwards:

Players I Like:

LeBron James, Cavaliers ($10,400): Destroyed the Warriors last night. Similarly tough matchup against Indiana tonight, but 50 fantasy points is not out of the question. UPDATE: James is OUT! I love J.R. Smith at SG now.

Draymond Green, Warriors ($6,900): His length and athleticism will be a problem for Toronto at the PF position. Could have another huge night.

Khris Middleton, Bucks ($6,600): High floor, and playing a terrible Lakers team.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Hornets ($5,900): Playing his best basketball of the season, and facing an enigmatic Celtics team.

Gerald Henderson, Hornets ($5,800): Great matchup, and will still get good playing time with Beal out.

Danilo Gallinari, Nuggets ($5,100): Playing well as the starter. Will continue to start until his next injury, so he is worth playing in the meantime.

Players I Don’t Like:

Kawhi Leonard, Spurs ($7,100): Rarely is he worth the price. Definitely won’t be against the Kings.

Andrew Wiggins, Timberwolves ($6,700): The Bulls are a good defensive team, and production has been sporadic since the return of Kevin Martin. There are better options.

Robert Covington, 76ers ($6,300): Minutes took a huge hit with the Sixers playing Thomas Robinson more. Can’t trust him until T-Rob cools off or the Sixers get bored with their new experiment.

Tobias Harris, Magic ($6,100): Needs to stay healthy to reach full potential. I don’t think he is there yet.

DeMarre Carroll, Hawks ($5,400): Struggling lately. Don’t take the risk with so many better options available.

Tayshaun Prince, Pistons ($4,100): Won’t see the minutes or the shots he did in Boston.

Worth The Risk:

Gordon Hayward, Jazz ($7,900): Had worst game of 2015 against the Lakers of all teams. Should bounce back against Denver.

Rudy Gay, Kings ($7,800): Dominated against Memphis. Should come close to the same numbers against the Spurs.

Luol Deng, Heat ($6,300): Has gone for 30 or more fantasy points in four of last five games. Struggled against Pelicans last time, but they had Anthony Davis then.

Nicolas Batum, Trailblazers ($5,900): See also: Matthews, Wesley

Corey Brewer, Rockets ($4,600): On a tear lately, but still doesn’t start. Risky with the deep Houston bench, but the Rockets will likely play him until he cools off.

My Lineups:

A: Middleton and Gallinari ($11,700)

B: Middleton and Green ($13,500)

C: Deng and Ariza ($12,000)

D: Middleton and Gallinari ($11,700)

Next: The Three Top PF's Are Out

Power Forwards:

Players I Like:

Tim Duncan, Spurs ($7,600): The Kings are without DeMarcus Cousins, which means Rudy Gay could see more time at the four. That is a great matchup for Duncan.

Greg Monroe, Pistons ($7,600): He plays the Knicks. End of story.

Derrick Favors, Jazz ($7,500): One of the most consistent players around, and he has a great matchup against Denver.

Paul Millsap, Hawks ($7,500): This is purely matchup based. Millsap has not played particularly well lately, but the Magic are anything but inside.

David West, Pacers ($6,500): Abused the Cavs in their last meeting for 44 fantasy points.

Terrence Jones, Rockets ($6,300): Has been over 30 fantasy points in three of his last four games, and the one that he wasn’t, he still scored 28.

Taj Gibson, Bulls ($5,100): Will start with Gasol out. Not a great matchup against the Timberwolves, but shouldn’t have a problem getting 5x value.

Jason Thompson, Kings ($4,200): He has bordered on great with Cousins out. May be the best value play of the night at any position.

Nikola Mirotic, Bulls ($3,700): Gibson will start, but Mirotic will see plenty of time, especially since the Bulls will need his offense.

Reggie Evans, Kings ($3,600): Will see plenty of minutes, and should surpass 20 fantasy points without a problem.

Players I Don’t Like:

LaMarcus Aldridge, Trailblazers ($9,200): The thumb is obviously an issue. LMA has not gone over 30 fantasy points since before the All Star Break.

Kevin Love, Cavaliers ($8,300): Not only did he get abused by West on offense, but he was held to 17.3 fantasy points in the last meeting with Indiana.

Josh Smith, Rockets ($6,400): Jones and Brewer have eaten into his minutes and his production. He is not a reliable option right now.

Nerlens Noel, 76ers ($6,500): Inconsistent, and faces a tough matchup against Washington.

Ed Davis/Carlos Boozer, Lakers: The Bucks have played well up front lately, and neither player has had consistent playing time.

Brandon Bass, Celtics ($5,400): Struggled against the Knicks, so I don’t trust him against Charlotte.

Jason Smith, Knicks ($5,000): Against Detroit? No, thanks.

Worth The Risk:

Zach Ranodolph, Grizzlies ($8,200): Good matchup against the Clippers without Blake Griffin, but hasn’t topped 30 fantasy points in last two games.

Serge Ibaka, Thunder ($7,200): On a tear since the break, but faces a tough matchup against Portland.

John Henson, Bucks ($5,400): Has been a beast off the bench, and gets the Lakers.

My Lineups:

A: Jones and Thompson ($10,500)

B: Millsap and Monroe ($15,100)

C: Jones and Gibson ($11,400)

D: Ibaka and Thompson ($11,400)

Next: Lots Of Options At C

Feb 3, 2015; Auburn Hills, MI, USA; Detroit Pistons guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (5) attempts a shot over Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside (21) during the third quarter at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Pistons beat the Heat 108-91. Mandatory Credit: Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

Center:

Players I Like:

Al Jefferson, Hornets ($8,200): Strong matchup against Boston.

Andre Drummond, Pistons ($8,200): Great matchup against Knicks. Should dominate the post.

Hassan Whiteside, Heat ($7,600): Whiteside has a great matchup against Pelicans with A.D. out. Scored 38.2 fantasy points on them on February 21st.

Rudy Gobert, Jazz ($6,400): Pulverized the Lakers on Wednesday. Could do the same to Denver tonight.

Enes Kanter, Thunder ($5,800): Has been solid for OKC, and worth the cost.

My Lineups:

A: Gobert ($6,400)

B: Gobert ($6,400)

C: Whiteside ($7,600)

D: Gobert ($6,400)
