The Minnesota Vikings are meeting with Adrian Peterson — again — to try and iron out their issues in an effort to move forward together.

Not that long ago, Adrian Peterson was a monster who the Vikings were reportedly considering distancing themselves from. Peterson was indeed distanced from the Vikings as he was essentially kicked off the team but the tables have now turned and it’s Peterson in control of the situation and it’s the Vikings who are trying to win his affection back.

According to Tom Pelissero of USA Today, the Vikings brass are meeting with Adrian Peterson in New York to continue their conversation from the other week in which Mike Zimmer tried to smooth the road with his running back.

"Peterson took a commercial flight from Houston to LaGuardia Airport for the meeting, a person with knowledge of the situation told USA TODAY Sports, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation."

It’s important to note that Adrian Peterson flew to New York fro Houston to meet with his bosses from Minnesota — which is a lot of traveling. It shows how big of an issue there is between the two sides but it also highlights that they’re willing to try and work something out.

That doesn’t mean something is going to be worked out though, and it’s worth noting that Peterson met with Mike Zimmer and still had doubts about trusting the Vikings.

Peterson is a coveted player in the NFL and there are plenty of teams who would take him. The Vikings may have to trade Peterson this offseason, but this is an obvious effort to work things out first.
