Dwayne Bowe had a good visit with the Cleveland Browns.

As of now, the Cleveland Browns‘ offense is a complete mess. Johnny Manziel is in rehab and he may not be available at the start of the 2015 NFL season. Top receiver Josh Gordon has been suspended for another year. Reliable tight end, and perhaps one of the more underrated tight ends in the league, Jordan Cameron signed with the Miami Dolphins.

With all of this being said, the Browns really do not have a lot of talent on their offense. However, Cleveland has looked into multiple free agents to make improvements to the offense.

Adam Caplan of ESPN reported that Dwayne Bowe met with the Browns and their front office. Caplan also reported that the visit went well and there is mutual interest between both sides.

Bowe is coming off one of the worst seasons in his career, as he failed to catch a single touchdown. Despite that, at 30 years old, Bowe is a veteran and he has been around this league for eight years. By coming to Cleveland, Bowe would immediately be the No. 1 target on this offense and he would be able to mentor young receivers on this team like Taylor Gabriel and Andrew Hawkins.

If Bowe were to sign with the Browns, the move wouldn’t cost a ton of money. Despite his lack of production this past season, Bowe is one of the better receivers available on the open market, and given the lack of talent on Cleveland’s offense and how they need to bring in more weapons for Josh McCown, who is likely the starter at this point, signing Bowe wouldn’t be a bad decision at all.
