It appears the Cleveland Browns are potential frontrunners for this year’s edition of HBO Hard Knocks.

Each year, one lucky, well entertaining, team gets the chance to be on the television besides their games on Sunday. HBO produces one of the more fun and enjoyable shows on all of television in Hard Knocks.

This show depicts the lives of the players of the NFL team they follow when they’re with their fellow players. From training camp, to practice, to the games, and even to the postseason, Hard Knocks does an excellent job at showing just how difficult being an NFL player is.

Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News is reporting that the Cleveland Browns are the frontrunners for the team to be portrayed on the show.

Hard Knocks is at its best when the show follows players with great personality. The Browns are no strangers to that, as perhaps the player with the most media attention in all of football in Johnny Manziel is on the roster. Add in the fact that he will be returning from rehab when the training camp begins and it is easy to see why the Browns would be a good choice for the show.

On top of Manziel, the Browns have a ton of players with great character. Joe Thomas, Ben Tate, Joe Haden, and Donte Whitner are all players who would provide a few good laughs. Also, Mike Pettine is one of the more entertaining coaches in the league. With all of this being said, the Browns may not be the best team on the field, but they would most certainly be a fun team for Hard Knocks to feature.
