The Indianapolis Colts could move on from head coach Chuck Pagano after the 2015 season if he fails to live up to ownership’s expectations.
Chuck Pagano has been through a lot in his time with the Indianapolis Colts, and that’s a time with the team that could be coming to an end sooner than we all thought.
This offseason, Indianapolis has added some key players in free agency, and that should only make Pro Bowl quarterback Andrew Luck even more dangerous sin 2015 than he has been in years past. But that puts pressure on the team to win — and specially on Pagano to coax results.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Indianapolis Colts are not sold on Pagano moving forward, and could part ways with him ala the 49ers and Jim Harbaugh at the end of the 2015 season.

Indianapolis has taken a step forward in each of the last two seasons, and made it all the way to the AFC Championship game in 2014. They were unable to knock off the New England Patriots, but there is a lot of excitement surrounding their chances for the upcoming season. Ryan Grigson and Jim Irsay decided to be very aggressive in free agency this offseason, and brought in some big pieces to help the Colts take the final leap.

Trent Cole was the Colts’ big defensive addition this offseason, and will add some of the pass rushing ability that the Colts were desperately searching for last season.
Teams that don’t live up to their expectations usually end up getting a new head coach before blaming the shortcomings on the roster. Pagano seems to be a very good NFL head coach, but his future is up to Grigson and Irsay — and how well he can coach the team in 2015.
