Daniel Sturridge is facing yet another spell on the sidelines with new injury and will likely be out for a month.
Liverpool and England fans don’t know whether to laugh or cry after hearing about Daniel Sturridge’s latest injury. It’s becoming a bit of a running joke that the striker can’t stay fit for a prolonged period of time.
The latest injury has seen the charismatic striker pull out of the England squad for their Euro 2016 qualifiers. England manager Roy Hodgson revealed that Sturridge has a slight tear in a hip muscle, meaning he could be out for at least a month.
Liverpool haven’t confirmed the reports but the England manager was happy to tell reporters what their scan revealed.

"“When he did the scan he was devastated as he didn’t want to leave. He has a slight tear and you can’t play through that.” – Roy Hodgson"
Sturridge has been out for a number of months on two occasions this season, much to the annoyance of Liverpool fans and staff. His original injury at the start of the season happened while training with the national team, which led to reports of conflict between Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers and England boss Hodgson.
Regardless of how the injury happened, it seems as though the front man will definitely be missing Liverpool’s crucial game against Arsenal on the 4th of April. Both teams are battling to secure Champions League football for next season with Liverpool desperate to gain ground on their rivals.
In addition to the big clash with Arsenal, Sturridge is also set to miss games against Newcastle and an FA Cup quarter final against Blackburn. It’s yet another blow for Strurridge and Liverpool, the third time the striker has frustrated Liverpool this season. It’s obviously not his fault, but that doesn’t change the fact it could cost Liverpool dearly.
