Joel Embiid has been known to have a wicked sense of humor, and the time he’s spent away from basketball in his rookie season has been more than made up with in hilarity. From Embiid’s dopey yet adorable attempts to hook up with Rihanna on Twitter, to the way he just doesn’t care about what people think about how goofy he is, Embiid is a personality that the NBA needs.
This side of Embiid is something that folks are embracing, as advertisers are taking notice of his broad appeal to fans. In his latest stint, Embiid is claiming he can beat four time league MVP LeBron James in a game of one on one basketball.
He may be kidding, he may not be. Either way, this is amazing and Joel Embiid is once again a hero.
Is it possible that Joel Embiid could beat LeBron James in a game of one-on-one? Even though LeBron is the better shooter, and likely has a gigantic speed advantage, Embiid’s size and defensive capabilities would present a challenge for the two time NBA champion.
A one on one match up between the two might not be as lopsided as one might think. And while we would still put good money on the King to come out on top, the notion of this very showdown remains intriguing nonetheless.
