Artist Jesse Nunez created a perfect combination of NBA players and hip-hop albums to make some awesome artwork.
The connection between hip-hop and basketball is undeniable. Hip-hop artists rap about being ballers and basketball players dress like rappers. The two cultures are intertwined and even sometimes allowing for a little overlap (Ron Artist and Shaq come to mind).
But one artist took the initiative to wentĀ ahead and combined some of the most popular currentĀ NBA players with some of the most famous rap albums ever. The result was absolute gold.
The first one is Kanye Westās albumĀ Late Registration. Russell Westbrook is tastefully placed where Kanye used to be, with the title āNo Hesitation.ā An awesome recreation of one of Yeās best albums to date.

The next is none other than Mr. James Harden impersonating Rick Ross on one of the bossā most notable albums Teflon Don.Ā Choosing Harden for this cover art was probably a no-brained, both have an iconic beard and kind of look like one another in this recreation.

For whatever reason this next one just seems to fit. Something about Melo posing as 50 centĀ on the famous rapperās album Get Rich or Die TryinĀ just makes sense.
The only problem I have with this is the title āGet a ring or Die Tryin.'ā With Melo shutting down his season it doesnāt seem like he was ready to die for anybody on the Knicks this year.
Still, a cool rendition of the album cover with Melo on it.

People love to draw the comparison between Derrick Rose and 2 Pac. Whether it is 2 Pacās famous poem, āThe Rose that Grew from Concreteā played in the Powerade commercial featuring Rose or for any number of other reasons, this album cover is awesome. Derrick Rose posing as 2 Pac did on his albumĀ All Eyez On MeĀ is something I think everyone can enjoy.

The artist even added a little humor to his collection with a stab at Kobe Bryant. Placed on the Notorious B.I.G.ās albumĀ Ready To DieĀ the artist claims that Kobe is in fact āReady to Retire.ā Kobe is aging and it has shown the last couple of years with injuries and poor performances.

Whatever it is about basketball players and rappers that go so well together, this artist perfectly captured the two with this collection of artwork.Ā AboveĀ are just a few of the entire collection from artist Jesse Nunez.
