Liverpool’s season probably won’t end this year with the team in the Champions League next year, but they’re in the hunt for an FA Cup title and there is still hope that next season will end differently. All hope of clinching a spot in the Champions League isn’t lost, but the odds are heavily against them down the stretch of the Premier League season.
Still, fans are looking ahead to next season and their hope was branded on Friday afternoon in the form of a new home kit for 2015-16.
On Friday, New Balance revealed Liverpool’s new home kit for next season, and it’s basically the same thing that they have this year.
What’s lacking is the white outline on the sleeves that are featured this year, as this is a much more reserved look for Liverpool. While it’s not all that different, it’s simple and minimalist which seems to be the growing fashion these days.
By not being a flashy kit with a lot of flare and pizzaz, it displays a sleeping giant demeanor of sorts for Liverpool that they’re embracing at the moment. There are a lot of pieces on the squad to like, but things just didn’t come together this season. That’s not a reason to count them out in 2015-16, and that’s sort of what this kit is saying.
While you may not get excited about it, everything is in the details and Liverpool fans will no doubt wear this with pride alongside their squad next season.
