The Indianapolis Colts have eight picks in the 2015 draft. Here is the list.

The Indianapolis Colts have made the postseason in all three years in which Andrew Luck has been the quarterback…solid (note: those are also the same three years Chuck Pagano has been head coach, though he missed much of his first season battling cancer, and general manager Ryan Grigson).

The aforementioned Grigson Luck-ed into his first draft pick (sorry, not sorry) and has otherwise looked like a novice at selecting players from the college ranks. He also made what is now an indefensible trade by sending a future first-round pick (last year’s) to Cleveland for maybe the biggest draft bust of this decade, running back Trent Richardson.

Other than that, he’s been great. The truth is the Colts have made it to three consecutive postseasons for two reasons, and they can be combined into one word: Luck (again sorry, not sorry). Literally, Andrew Luck has been better than advertized in his first three seasons in the league, while the rest of the NFC South (until Houston last season) should have been demoted to the SEC (if this were professional soccer in Europe they would have been).

Grigson has really taken the opposite approach of his predecessor Bill Polian, who lived and died by the draft. Instead, this year Grigson decided to add the 33-year-old Andre Johnson and 31-year-old Frank Gore just to mess people (that’s the only reasonable explanation, right?).

Somehow Grigson found a way to obtain an extra pick in this year’s draft despite his fantasy football-like roster management. Who knows what he’ll do with them though. Colts fans would probably just assume he give them away.

Here are the eight picks the Colts hold in this weekend’s draft, which begins Thursday evening.
